CLIENT EMAIL JUNE 3, 2006
You have
been most attentive, and I appreciate this very much.
As I've said the furniture looks beautiful on the photos, and the fact that
it is unique not only in design, but in that the artisan has carved each
piece by hand is amazing to me, and I'm sure to everyone else that will see
it. I certainly will treasure it, and pass it down in my family.
I'm not sure if I have mentioned this to you, but I've been working on the
armoire design for at least couple of years now. Initially I thought I'll
just have one reproduced as soon as I see one that came close to what I've
envisioned (that was 4 years ago). I searched for a couple of years and
nothing seemed to measure up to what I pictured in my head. Then, one day
about two years ago I came across a website selling antique doors. When I
saw the design of one of them (the one I sent you) I instantly knew that was
to be the door of my future armoire. I had never seen anything like it
(except in my head), and I fell in love with it instantly.
The main frame also had to correspond and be worthy of the doors, and that
took another few months to find... again by chance, as you saw from my
picture, it was at a Halloween party I happened to go to...
Then, in the last year I've been searching for a place that will be able to
bring this piece to life, so to speak. It was not as easy as I thought. The
places here were not satisfactory. The places overseas, I had to feel
confident about, but that was hard, mainly because all communication is via
e-mail (Can't see the person face-to-face). You were pretty much the only
person I felt comfortable with. You were attentive but not pushy. You were
confident about the things you can and can not do, and your suggestions
along the way were most helpful. So as you see, this was a long process for
me to arrive at this point today where my furniture is near completion and
ready to ship. And, I can't thank you enough for being so patient and
involved. All my friend I spoke to about this were amazed at how
professional you were, and what skilled artisans you have.
Can't hardly wait to see the armoire in all it's finished glory, handles and all.
Thank you. Thank you.
