How
To Use Keywords For Optimization and Tools
Key
words are the most important part of getting your site listed and
has to be part of the basic structure of the site. I can not say
in exact terms what is permissible with search engines, use common
sense. What is not permissible is words that are non site related
are page related. Do not a bunch of cat words in a page about dogs.
They will not get you the customers you need to improve an effective
online business. Keywords should be used in a normal way as if you
were telling someone about the site in person and trying to sell
them on visiting it. The advantage you have in putting this in writing
is the opportunity to do some research. Do some brainstorming and
put down a list of words that you feel are related to the subject
at hand. Then go to some of the sites we have listed below and see
if you can build on this. After you have the words you should try
and formulate a page description using as many of these as possible.
Some of the tools we have listed will show you which keywords are
more important than others. Use these in your content and meta tags.
The keywords that most relates to your site and has the highest
popularity should be use in the Title Meta tag, Description Meta
Tag, and the Keywords Meta tag. You should limit the size of you
Title to what would be normal in a Book for a Title. The description
should be a very short summary of the entire page. The keywords
Meta tag should contain all of the words within reason that you
used on the page related to that pages content.
Some
people achieve a top 10 placement in a major search engine and get
plenty of traffic. Others do the same but get nothing. Why?
Simple. The
first group selected keywords that many people are searching on,
and the second did not!
Discover the
right keywords, and you'll see your traffic skyrocket!
