Mathew 4 explains this best when Satan tried
to get Jesus to worship him. Jesus explained to Satan that their
was only one God and only The One God had the right to be worshiped.
In the words of Jesus he told Satan this in Mathew 10.
Again, the devil taketh
him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the
kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9And saith unto him,
All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship
me. 10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get
thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord
thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Jesus prayed to God.
39And he went a little
further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O
my Father (Meaning God The Creator of all things even of
Jesus himself ), if it be possible, let this
cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Jesus had no control over what God would decide.
