Question? Most Islamic scholars say that Isa
foretold the coming of Muhammad.
This I believe because it is written in the Holy Quran. (Surah As-Saff
61 - 6) It was not beyond Isa to do this since he had many messages
from Allah. I trust the Holy Quran completely as it was not allowed
the corruption of the past holy books.
Remember the guardians and recorders of the holy book, Bible, were
mostly descended from the Roman Catholic Church. This is the very
people whom authorized and expected the crucifixion of Jesus. They
worked with the Roman government. They would not have recorded anything
that could destroy their government. There have been so many translations
and modifications to the Bible throughout history. The present most
popular is the King James Version that so many people accept as
direct words from Allah. How many years after the death of Jesus
was this translation completed?
I am not sure that as many Muslim Theologians
would say that every reference in the Bible to one to come after
Jesus was to Muhammad. For example.. John
14:15-16 If you love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the
father (Allah "The One God for all mankind") and he shall
give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever.
My understanding of certain references in the Bible of one to come
after he went away is that Allah sent a special kind of spirit that
could answer questions and talk with every mans heart. Jesus was
talking to a certain people as his message was for a certain people
unlike that of Muhammad whom had a message for all mankind. These
people did not live for another 600 years until the birth of Muhammad.
They would have expected someone for them more immediate. I do not
believe that Isa would have told them this if they would not have
had something to comfort them in there own lifetime. I understand
that before the advent of Jesus that only special people could speak
to Allah. One of the purposes of Jesus was to tear down this structure
of corruption within the church.
I do not believe that Jesus was God. I do believe in Jesus and the
Holy Spirit. But the Romans had a special meeting of the churches
and to follow their tradition and belief system these three were
recognized as God the one. God is not in three parts but only one.
All things are created by his will and spirit. He created Jesus
much in the same way he created Adam. The Holy Spirit is a special
gift from God to all mankind to lead and guide those that seek that
guidance.
But in no way should you think that Jesus or the Holy Spirit as
power greater than The One Holy God of all creation. Jesus taught
in the Bible that we should look to God for all things and help.
He taught us that if we ask in his "Jesus" name then to
the one God we would receive what we needed. But he did not teach
us to pray to him "Jesus". The Quran taught us not to
pray in the name of the dead. This I believe is true. But if we
ask in the name of Jesus to the one God for what we need it would
not be a sin. Jesus is not dead according to all Holy Books. He
is alive and well and is one day coming back to show us. But most
Muslims overlook teachings even in the Quran of the prophet Jesus.
They want to elevate the prophet Muhammad higher than all the others
because he was sent to all mankind. But Jesus was sent to the Jews
and they rejected him. God gave that gift to all mankind long before
the coming of Muhammad. I know from the Holy Quran that Muhammad
never wanted men to look at him as special. He was just a man and
not perfect. Jesus as the Holy Quran teaches was special and perfect,
but this is contrary to the teachings. He was born with special
knowledge and by the spirit. He had knowledge of God that no man
ever had.
