I had several more upcoming trips planned for
Indonesia. We continued our love affair for more than a year. I
invited her to the USA. She was able to get the visa and I sent
her the ticket. I picked her up in Atlanta and we went to my house
in Greenwood. This was not a problem since my wife stayed in Mexico
most of the time. It was at this time that Jessica was coming to
visit me. I told her about Teti and she understood since she never
really knew my wife from Mexico. I found out that I had to make
a trip to Mexico for one week. Jessica had already returned home
and asked Teti if she wanted to come to Mexico with me. We agreed
to do it and went to Atlanta to make a visa for Teti to enter Mexico.
It was fairly easy once we found the office. Since my wife and I
had been separated for more than a year I supposed it would be OK.
It was not an official separation, just separated. I arranged to
stay at a different hotel in Mexico than usual since most everyone
at the hotel I usually stayed at knew my wife. Everything went well
until one night my wife called and said she wanted to stop by and
see me. About ten minutes later her and a sister were knocking at
our door. Teti and I turned off all lights and remained silent.
They knocked a long time. After a while they went away. I got afraid
they might want to come in the room and get management to let them
in. I decided it would be best for me to go outside and walk around
some and maybe meet them outside the room. I did meet them and told
them we should go t o the restaurant and talk. We talked and a drink
for a short time before I told them I had to go to bed. They both
went home and I was relieved there was not any major problem like
a fight. We continued to stay without any further visits. We went
to the open-air ride through zoo one weekend when I was not working.
I got a picture with Teti and a man dressed as a warrior from the
Mexican Indian style. I had one restaurant that we visited often.
Teti like the cheese soup but had to have hot chili added. The Mexican
waiters could not find chili hot enough to suit her taste but they
tried. They were amazed see her eat food that they would not dare
to eat. We returned to the USA. After a few more weeks I had to
go to Indonesia for some more work. We went back together.
In November 1997 I made a trip to Brazil for planning a limited
upgrade of the systems there. I spent one week analyzing their existing
controls and taking notes. Management wanted to invest very little
money to allow these machines be brought to a point that would be
standard to the Greenwood machines. After returning to Greenwood
I completed a project plan. I completed drawings and ordered parts
for the controls. This project was to be implemented late in the
year 1998.
