This leads up to how I came to be living here in Indonesia now. Teti and Tiara continued having problems for most of the time. She had been back in Indonesia almost 2 years now and still was not allowed to return to the US because of problems concerning immigration. I had written the congressman Lindsay Graham many times but they finally told me there was nothing they could do. She had become more and more terrified through out this time of our separation. She felt that people were trying to kill her and our daughter Tiara. There was not much I could do as I had to work in the USA and could only spend vacation and a few opportunities that my company provided for me to work in Asia with them. September 2002 Teti got seriously ill due to the stress of separation. I had received a phone call from her that was very distressing. It was short and she only said it is time, I am going to die. I normally talked with her at least twice a day. I tried constantly after that for about 48 hours to get her on the phone and could not. I told my boss I was going to have to go back to Indonesia and made the reservations. I scraped together all the money I could to buy a ticket.
