In November 1997 I filed for a divorce with Beba.
A marriage without both at least having the same religion could
not last. Here I will cover the differences we had and my feelings
of the way she did not look to God or worship God but rather paid
all homage to the Virgin Mary.
I could never understand why she was so devout
to the Virgin Mary but I never heard her praying to God. Mary was
a pure woman in Gods eyes. He blessed her to be the bearer of the
baby Jesus. Mary prayed to God for blessings and God blessed her.
But no where have I ever seen it written in the holy books that
I have read that we should honor her to the point of asking her
to watch over us and provide for us as if she were God. But Beba
would do just that. She would stand in fron of a picture we had
bought of the Virgin and ask for blessings and for her to watch
over. My belief is that Mary was just a woman and capable of sinning
as any other woman. I believe that she was sinless since God blessed
her with the birth of the Holy Man Jesus. But I do not believe that
God blessed her with supernatural powers to work mircles or provide
blessings after her death.
Beba had come up from Mexico while I was in Indonesia.
She had already found pictures of Teti and a videotape I had made
while in England that was very graphic. I told her I wanted a divorce
but she did not want too. She said she loved me and that I should
think about David. I told her I would stay at my mom's house. She
did not like the idea, no matter what I had done. I found out later
she had even showed my mom the video. My mom was on her side even
though she did not really know her like I did. The next day she
got a friend to take her to a lawyer to set up the divorce. Over
the next few weeks we set up everything. Since we had not been officially
separated for a year they set us up on a separation period of one
year from December 1997. She was awarded everything I owned and
between her alimony and David's child support a total of $2000 per
month. This meant I was now paying $2400 after tax. I did not have
much left to survive on. . I wanted to keep our son and care for
him but the US government never gives custody of the children to
the dad. I was given visitation rights to David but she would not
let me see him unless she could be with me at all times. It was
her way of not letting go of me. I continued to travel for that
year making many trips to Indonesia. The court took the money from
my check directly and sent it to her bank account. After about six
months I changed the Job at Capsugel to a position that did not
travel so much. My pay went in half to what it was with the overtime
I got for traveling.
In January 1998 I organized and supervised the upgrade of our production
machines in Thailand. I also organized a control project for the
addition of two machines. Teti came over while I was there. After
the project was completed I took a week of vacation. Teti and I
went site seeing with one the technicians from the plant we went
to his family's house about 6 hours from Bangkok. We had a good
time and saw a different side of Thailand than that which you see
in Bangkok, which reminds me of what Sodom, and Gomorrah was probably
like.
In February 1998 I supervised the installation of two viscosity
preparation stations in China.
In March and April 1998 I made one trip to China, Thailand, Indonesia,
and Japan to upgrade earlier installations to latest developments
in Greenwood. This included minor wiring changes, PC station, and
PLC program upgrades.
In July 1998 a position came open in our state side Computer Integrated
Manufacturing department. This department is responsible for the
design of the control systems used in our production machines. I
accepted the position as Project Technician. I was teamed with another
engineer to develop a new control system for the capsule production
machine. I did a cost comparison for the new design compared to
the one we had been using until then. We utilized Profibus networking
and the latest Siemens STEP 7 PLC.
After the year was completed I filed the final divorce papers. The
judge did not change anything even though the present deductions
from my check sometimes were exceeding my total pay.
